Set. Shop Local! W e’re gearing up for another holiday season! This holiday season the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce will start celebrating all its businesses in a new way. Starting today, the Cham- ber will be accepting receipts when you shop locally to be traded in for a chance to win big! From now until Thursday, Dec. 14, the Chamber will be accepting receipts from purchases made at local Chamber member businesses. This initiative not only will help stimulate our local econ- omy but also offer a $500 cash reward to the giveaway winner for spending their money locally. The money we keep here circulates again and again through the local economy, leveraging itself through business growth, job cre- ation, lower taxes, public services and civic pride — a better life for everyone! The winning name will be drawn on Friday, Dec. 15. That $500 cash reward can then go back to the local economy by using it at a Chamber member busi- ness. Win-Win! Shop at any Chamber member busi- ness to qualify to win. Show us your receipts from a lodging or shopping trip, eating or entertainment outing. Receipts must be from Nov. 1 to Dec. 14, 2023, to qualify. For more information on the Shop Local event, please call the TCLM Chamber at 409-935-1408 or email Ste- fanie Aldrich at stefanie@ TCLMchamber.com. “The money we keep here circulates again and again through the local economy, leveraging itself through business growth, job creation, lower taxes, public services and civic pride — a better life for everyone!”2 | Chamber Express | November 2023 FROM THE BEACH TO THE BAY TO THE BAYOU H undreds of charities, 1,000s of lives, all for one purpose — making a difference for chil- dren.
