This year, the theme is “Escape to Margaritaville.” The evening will be filled with excitement, delicious treats, an exquisite dinner and captivating music that will transport the guest to a picturesque tropical oasis. DATE CHANGE! The banquet will be held Friday, March 1 at the Doyle Conven- tion Center in Texas City. The gala is a popular event with an average attendance of 400 or more guests. The attire is business formal/ cocktail/Resort Chic. This year’s fes- tivities will mark 55 years of honoring and awarding local businesses in the community. Join in this festive evening as the following awards are presented: • 2023 Citizen of the Year • Jimmy Hayley Community Service Award • Small Business of the Year • Large Business of the Year The Chamber Gala is a favorite event of the year, and seating is expected to sell out. The class had the opportunity to host a beach clean- up in Galveston. The class was excited to help keep the beaches beautiful. Members filled more than six bags of trash in just about a 2-mile stretch of beach. The Leadership Mainland class had a great time serving its community. Everyone in attendance had the chance to hear from the Young Profes- sionals Council about the upcoming year and all the new fun activities for the group to enjoy.
