It defines what residents do and live in the community. Many peo- ple take for granted the magnitude of the importance that industry plays in the life of the city and those who live, work and play there. The number of direct jobs in major industry is in the thousands, but that number does not reflect the thousands of indirect jobs that are functioning as a result of the industry partners’ location. The Industrial Trade Show is focused on making the right connections for those ancillary businesses. Meeting a new contact or reconnecting with a current client is what this day is all about. Small businesses contribute to local economies by bringing growth and innovation. Small businesses also help stimulate economic growth by providing employment opportunities to people who may not be employable by larger corporations. Larger businesses also often benefit from small business- es within the same local community for the completion of various business functions through outsourcing. This show, as is evident by the event title, is an industrial exhibit It may not be for everyone, but for those folks who are industrially geared, it is huge. Support and promote commerce in the community and get down to doing business. Staying on top of the latest industry trends, gaining competitor insights and making key industry contacts to further solidify relationships with current customers is this event’s primary goal. This is your chance to enhance brand and product visibility, promote new and existing products, generate leads and drive sales. Chamber members who do business with industry are invited to participate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Charles T. Doyle Convention Center, 2010 5th Ave. N., Texas City. The Indus- trial Trade Show is hosted by the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce and the City of Texas City Economic Development Corporation. This show is for business professionals who do business with industry and not the general public. Opportunity is knocking!
