It’s also a huge promotional opportunity for members, and many have donated items for sev- eral years in a row. “Local businesses know that the exposure they get from the cham- ber auction is extremely cost-effec- tive,” said incoming president Page Michel. “It has been a challenging year, but we hope all members will consider supporting the auc- tion by donating merchandise, gift certificates or special services.” In return for contributions to the auction, members will receive big-time publicity! The auction this year will be 100 percent virtual. It will be hosted online, and it will reach a world-wide audience. Supporting the auction helps the chamber produce programs and events that foster economic development, promote tourism and improve the quality of life for the community. Stay tuned to the chamber’s weekly emails and the next issue of Chamber Express to find out all the details about the 2020 On- line Auction. To have details sent directly to you, send an email to info@texascitychamber.com and all of the auction information will be emailed back to you, includ- ing launch date, closing date and unique items you won’t want to miss. Bidding will be open for more than a week before the auc- tion closes. An auction donation form will be emailed to all members, and it is available on the Chamber website under “Events” and “2020 online auction.” Chamber annual auction to offer amazing items for your fall holiday shopping2 | Chamber Express | October 2020 Quality work worth celebrating! 409-945-6920 SERVICING YOU IS A PLEASURE 409-948-4589 My clients say I am their “Favorite Realtor”. The business’ experienced physician of 28 years has the knowledge and expertise to provide compassionate care at every level of clients’ healthcare journeys. Family Practice is proud to announce that the business will be the pioneers of Galveston County and beyond, separately engineering well and sick entrances and exits. Clients no longer will have to worry about the exposure of infectious diseases when they go to the doctor for a routine visit or chronic care management. All the sick areas will have dedicated staff, air conditioning and isolation protocols, while the non-infectious sections will allow for expedited check-in and check-out via technology. Family Practice will offer expanded services such as IV hydration therapy, sports physicals for youth and automated immunizations via a direct vaccine distributor’s partnership. Through a partnership with the DEXA scan, the facility will have an on-site bone density and obesity scanner. The DEXA will allow the weight loss program to have actual body composition imaging to mirror the diet and medication program. The bone density scanner will help the aging population with early diagnosis of bone disease. Family Practice will continue to offer home delivery of vitamins and supplements through a direct discount program. Most patients save 20 percent to 30 percent off the retail price for essential life vitamins that are not currently in people’s modern diet. For the chronic care and elderly population, Family Practice has several relationships with home health agencies that report directly back to the clinic to maintain care continuity. The staff is dedicated to their chronic care patients, including diabetes management, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and many other chronic conditions. The facility uses the latest drug and treatment programs’ research and tools to ensure patients can stay healthy with the least medications possible. Currently, Family Practice is operating in a temporary location in Gulfway Plaza, located on Delaney Road in La Marque. The business can handle testing for COVID-19 and still see patients without delay, but look forward to the new location’s convenience of independent entrance. Schedule a visit by calling the office at 409- 655-2770. Temporary location 14025 Delany Rd. With this series, we want to introduce you to some of our members and spotlight their besinesses. If you would like to be spotlighted in our Member Profile, contact Lorrie Koster at lorrie@texascitychamber.com. Tell us a little about your company’s background. Visiting Angels has been providing compassionate elder care services to families across the United States. Our network of elder care franchised agencies is com- mitted to providing families with the best possible in- home care services. Our commitment to you is simple: We will help your loved one continue to live at home, and we’ll help you find peace of mind. Visiting Angels in Texas City has been serving Galveston County for 2 years. I bought the business to enable the elderly to remain independent in their homes. I wanted to give them an option besides going to a nursing home. How would you summarize what you do? Visiting Angels is licensed by the state of Texas to provide non-medical in-home care and help with activ- ities like: bathing, dressing, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and meal planning and preparation. At Visiting Angels, we understand you want top quality senior home care services for your loved one. You’re searching for a qualified, professional elder care provider who will treat your family member with respect and dignity. We can help you find the senior home care provider that meets all your needs. Our senior home care providers are professionals with the training and skills you have been searching for. We’ll match you with a senior home care provider who will care for all your loved one’s health and well-being needs. Visiting Angels 10000 Emmett F. Lowry Expy. Suite 4000 - Unit 200D #8 Texas City, TX 77591 409-489-4501 jbasciano@visitingangels.com Jennifer Basciano, owner How has your business evolved over time? My Visiting Angels agency was the first to service Galveston county. In 2 years we have grown to pro- duce over $300k in sales and we work with clients from Alvin to Galveston island. Seniors throughout the area can get started with elderly care by contact- ing Visiting Angels Galveston and booking a no-cost consultation. Our knowledgeable care coordinator will meet with your loved one at home to discuss their needs. During your meeting you can get answers to all your care questions and help to create a customized plan to meet your loved one’s needs. Our services are flexible so your loved one will be able to make chang- es over time if needed. What are some of your proudest accomplishments? My proudest accomplishment would be the over 100 clients we have served in 2 years. These are people who would have otherwise had to go to a nursing home if it were not for our help. Instead they aged peacefully in their home where they were most com- fortable. I am also proud of our Google reviews and the many letters of recommendation we receive. What are you working on now? We are rapidly growing to service more clients and we are always hiring qualified caregivers. 6 | Chamber Express | October 2020October 2020 | Chamber Express | 78 | Chamber Express | October 2020 Serving ALL of the Mainland 2425 SH 146 North • Texas City 409-945-4461 • Fax 409-945-8479 • Email: tctrr.com No. 4 In Texas No. 10 in U.S. Gulf Coast No. 15 in U.S. Nationwide PORT OF TEXAS CITY Texas City Terminal Railway Company Port Authority OVERALL WINNERS LOW GROSS Conco #2 – Tim Meyer, Mike Hoecker, Nicole Klaus, Dustin Loden GUN RAFFLE Ram Aguilera – Stadia Sports Grill $1500 BALL FALL Chet Rich – AMOCO FCU WEDNESDAY A.M.
