It will be hosted at the Doyle Convention Center, located at 2010 5th Avenue N. in Texas City. He was born and raised in the Texas City area. “This area means a lot to both my family and myself, which is a key reason why I’m proud to work at the Chamber,” Kleinecke said. “I’m eager to help this community and the businesses that make the area what it is.” Kleinecke attended the University of St. Thomas in Houston on a full athletic schol- arship for golf. He received a business degree and previously worked in sales and marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys spend- ing time with family and friends, traveling with his girlfriend Lynde, playing golf and doing anything by the water. “I am excited about the opportunity to help make a differ- ence in the commu- nity and to help grow local businesses,” Kleinecke said. Jessie Trigo is the Small Business Sup- port Coordinator, a new position at the Chamber created to provide additional resources to local businesses in pan- demic recovery mode. Trigo coordinates the Chamber’s social media channels and loves to feature photos and videos from area businesses. Farmers Copper is a family-owned stocking distrib- utor and metals service center. In 1920, brothers Les Farmer Sr. and Sidney Farmer Sr. came to the U.S. from England. Starting with the Farmers Marine Cop- per Works, their love and dedication for the business has been passed down through four generations. How has your business succeeded in the Texas City-La Marque region? Farmers Copper Ltd. is one of the oldest family-op- erated metal service centers in the U.S. In addition to its headquarters in Texas City, the company also has a branch warehouse in San Antonio. What are some of your proudest accomplishments? Some of the company’s proudest accomplishments are that it continues to service the U.S. Navy and For- tune 500 companies, while also helping local machine and fabrication shops in the Galveston and Houston area. The staff lives by the company motto of “Truth, Quality and Service.” What are you working on now?
